The Highways Maintenance Efficiency Award is awarded to a team, partnership or local authority highway maintenance service which has developed and implemented a transformational approach to service delivery, resulting in service improvement, measurable cost efficiencies and enhanced customer satisfaction. Open to all organisations in the highways sector, regardless of their level of engagement with HMEP.
- Explain the previous problems, the obstacles which you overcame and as a result provide evidence of demonstrable and measurable improvements in service quality and cost efficiency.
- Provide details of innovation in areas such as procurement, contract management, asset management or operational practice which have contributed to service improvement.
- Describe areas where collaboration, partnership and wider stakeholder engagement have contributed to the improvements and any instances where procedure has changed throughout the company as a result.
- Supply any additional, non-financial benefits realised for the organisation, road users and the wider community.
